The tumulus vwhich is near the "Horamözü" water, located 15 km: northwest of Alaca country district center is called "Alacahöyük" to be separated from the other villages in Anatolia. The formation of the tumuluses starts on the areas which are by a river and valley or that are rich with water supplies and suitable for cultivation and easy to defend. Because of these reasons, the following civilzations passes through the same places. Raising on one after another, these places formes a hill which is very suitable to settle down. As a result, tumuluses were formed after the destruction of those places due to several reasons.
